Flyers Swim Team presents an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and passionate coach to take on the role of Lead Coach. The position is responsible for all squad programs in the Frankston region and will work closely with the Lead Coach Mornington Peninsula to lead the club and provide a professional, safe and stimulating environment that enables all athletes to achieve their best results.
Based at Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre in Frankston, you will join a highly motivated team of athletes and coaches. The established Flyers Frankston program averages 200 swimmers across our competitive and youth fitness squads.
The Lead Coach will foster a culture and environment that develops athletes through the full pathway in swimming from young development swimmers through to State and National Level performers.
The position is full-time and will be responsible for coaching one or two squads (depending on the level) whilst providing leadership and oversight across the entire Frankston program.
The successful applicant will hold their Advanced Coach Licence and have a minimum 5 years’ coaching experience including developing State level athletes.
You will display excellent leadership skills working with both athletes and colleagues to achieve an engaged club culture and will apply your knowledge and experience to guide assistant coaches. You will be committed to encouraging best practice in skill development whilst creating an environment that is team focused and enjoyable.
The role is suited to an experienced Head Coach/Lead Coach or Assistant Head/Lead Coach looking to advance their career.
A competitive salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
