South East Melbourne Phoenix are an Australian professional basketball team and a member of the National Basketball League (NBL). Based in the South East of Melbourne, the Phoenix were founded in 2018 and debuted in the 2019-20 season.

About the role
South East Melbourne Phoenix (SEMP) are on the hunt for an Education Programs Coordinator in a part time capacity who will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and evaluation of the South East Melbourne Phoenix mental health education programs in both primary and secondary school.
Reporting directly to the Community Manager, the individual will be responsible for developing relationships with Victorian secondary and primary schools and drive the completion rates in our Phoenix eLearning education courses. This will include leading the implementation of a new education program within Victorian primary schools including scheduling, staff training and session facilitation.
An integral component of this role is the ability to develop strong relationships with key contacts within the education and mental health sectors to raise awareness and amplify messaging.
The ideal candidate
As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience in the education sector or in curriculum development and have passion and understanding of mental health drivers and wellbeing amongst young people.
Leading student learning within a primary school setting, your ability to build strong relationships sets you apart. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your time. You will also have the demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement initiatives.
A friendly nature with a can-do and collaborative attitude is a must to be successful in this role. You will have tertiary qualifications or currently studying in the field of education, public health or health promotion.
