The Role

Sports Community, which is a part of the Belgravia Group, is seeking an experienced accounts officer to assist in the provision of services to national and state sports organisations.  The role is a permanent part time role requiring 20-30 hours per week, and has the potential to convert to full time in the near term for the right applicant. The role will combine the following activities:

  • Accounts Receivables
    • Daily bank feeds clearance
    • Invoicing - (Repeating & on request)
    • Reminders and debt collection
    • Weekly AR report
  • Accounts Payables
    • Processing invoices for payment
    • Approval workflow/cost centre & account coding
    • Weekly payment run & sending out remittance
  • Bank Account Reconciliations
    • General Journal Adjustments
    • Suspense account clearance
  • Monitoring Cost Centre Income and Expenditures
    • Regular reports on cost centres
    • Intense tracking for specific programs
    • Post-event reconciliation on competitions, tours, and state teams
    • Grant acquittals


  • At least 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Ideally have a strong knowledge of XERO accounting software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with figures
  • Relevant qualifications
