The Facilities Manager is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and the organisation of activities of all Hockey ACT facilities. They will provide regular maintenance and cleaning for the five (5) synthetic pitches owned by Hockey ACT. They will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the facilities (both buildings and grounds) including working with and organising independent contractors responsible for assisting with facility servicing. The appropriate person will also manage the arrangements for facility bookings (watering, lights etc.) to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

  1. Day to day management of all Hockey ACT facilities and related operational and maintenance issues.
  2. Assess and eliminate risk with regularly safety inspections across all facilities.
  3. Manage HACT facility bookings through the Open Play system.
  4. Manage light and watering schedules for all Hockey ACT owned pitches.
  5. In conjunction with independent contractors manage the security requirements for both the National Hockey Centre and Tuggeranong Hockey Park.
  6. Responsible for the coordination of opening and closing of the Tuggeranong Hockey Park facility.
  7. Responsible for ongoing works such as pitch sweeping/cleaning, mowing, landscaping, general maintenance and repairs.
  8. Coordination of the facility cleaning contract.
  9. Coordination of any major works programs undertaken by Hockey ACT.
  10. Work with tenants of the National Hockey Centre on any maintenance issues as they arise.
  11. Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Drivers Licence
  • Relevant industry experience in Facility Management; tradesperson
