We are looking for a dedicated Swimming Coach who will be intergral in the formation of a newly established Swim Club in Melbournes developing Western Suburbs.
About Westbourne Swim Club
Westbourne Swim Club will be a community-based club that provides coaching and training programs for swimmers of all abilities. Our focus is to create a positive environment in which to develop the skills, strength and fitness of our swimmers and provide opportunities to participate in competitive swimming, in the pool and in open water.
Westbourne Swim Club will be committed to encouraging and supporting a life-long enjoyment of swimming, fostering a supportive environment for swimmers of all abilities to participate in competition, and to providing pathways for talented swimmers to achieve their full competitive potential.
Westbourne Swim Club can become the nucleus of the Westbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, representing and showcasing the school at local, state and national level.
About the Role
The Head Coach is will be key in the success of the club, The Head Coach role will be made up of on deck coaching, administration, and competition coordination. The Head Coach will be required to attend swim meets and events.
The role will incorporate functions and responsibilities within the schools swimming curriculum and will help create a pathway for Westbourne students to develop their swimming ability and showcase the philosophies and development that the swim club can provide to the school community.
Coaches will be engaged to provide the best daily training environment, including early identification and acceleration of tailored needs and/or talent.
Westbourne Swim Club Coaches are an essential component in the delivery of all programs at WSAC. Squad coaches are required to maintain through knowledge and understanding of all aspects of WSAC swimming programs, educational trends, swimming & stroke development and industry insights.
