The Learn to Swim / Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Swimmerz Academy program delivers a high-quality swim education as well as the development of learn to swim programs at Swimmerz Academy through the ongoing evaluation of the services and implementation of short and long term business development strategies to create an environment that will maximise participation and increase revenue.
This includes delivery of initiatives to increase participation in Learn to Swim programs; providing exceptional customer service; determining feasibilty, implementing and reviewing all learn to swim programs; maintaining a positive profile for Swimmerz Academy community; communicating with and developing casual staff to ensure that the delivery of these activities meet industry best practice standards and customer expectations.
Qualifications & experience
Austswim or equivalent qualifications
Working with Children Check
First aid, CPR & RLSS Lifeguard Qualifications (not essential)
A minimum of 2 years experience in the sport and recreation industry in a similar program coordination role or related position.
Demonstrated experience in the development and design of learn to swim programs.
Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work autonomously.
Proven high level of administrative and organisational and planning skills.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large team of casual Learn to Swim Instructors.
Proficiency in using computers and related software applications.
Tasks & responsibilities
Demonstrated experience in the development and design of Learn to Swim programs and ensure a quality swimming program.
Assess and allocate Learn to Swim program students to appropriate program and review skills and conduct progression assessments.
Communicate with parents about their child's progression
Plan, teach and promote Learn to Swim & other aquatic programs.
Rostering of Learn to Swim instructors and conduct in pool swimming lessons when needed.
Action swim school enquiries via phone/email/in person
Liaise and work with Head Squad coach to ensure all programs run to schedule and as per required stardard.
Implement initiatives and programs to increase participation in learn to swim programs.
Supervise and support instructors, including training and monitoring teaching standards.
