Maccabi Aquatics is a newly established full-service swim school which has been set up as part of a community partnership between Maccabi Victoria and Bialik College. We will be based at the Bialik College Gringlas Sports Centre in Hawthorn East Vic and will be commencing operations at the start of the 4th term of 2021. We intend to offer a full suite of programs including: Learn-to-Swim; Junior, Senior & Masters Squads; Water Aerobics; Fitness Squads; and All Abilities classes.

We are seeking to appoint an Aquatics Manager (commencing as soon as possible) with responsibility for the establishment and overall operations of the swim school. This is a senior leadership role and an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor and shape the future direction of the business.
The Aquatics Manager will lead and champion the business. You will:

Have up-to-date technical capabilities and knowledge of swimming best practices
Have a track-record of operating effectively at a senior level within the aquatics industry
Reporting to the Board’s Executive Directors, your main responsibilities will be:
Development and implementation of all aspects of the Learn-to-Swim and Curriculum Swimming programs
Oversight of other programs offered by Maccabi Aquatics
Safety and well-being of program participants
Management of the business in line with its agreed strategies and budgets
Recruitment, induction, training and development of staff
Management of staff rosters
Ensuring staff compliance with relevant policies
Provision of high-quality customer service
Maintenance and development of relationships with the Bialik Sports Department and the sports departments of external schools that utilise the facility
Efficient and effective administration of the business
