We are Boronia Swimming Club, based as Knox Leisureworks in Boronia VIC. We are a committee run club, which together with our coaches runs coaching 6 days a week for 3 levels of swimmers.
A great opportunity
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and genuine coach to lead our swim club coaching. This is a part-time opportunity that provides potential for someone who is looking to work with a small family friendly club. Coaching hours available are flexible with up to 20 hours per week coaching, plus administration allowance, plus swim meets. Our ideal candidate will have the expertise of a qualified Squad Coach who is passionate about developing swimmers, and leading our coaching team to do the same.
Purpose of the Role
Leader the Swim Club Coaching team.
Hands-on approach to facilitating squad sessions and supporting swimmers at aggregates, club championships and meets.
Coach, motivate and encourage swimmers, to ensure their training is aligned to their current ability and future goals.
Attending designated swim meets
Monitoring compliance with all legislative requirements and Club policies, with an emphasis on water safety, industry development and currency, and workplace safety.
Liaise with committee attend meetings when required.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A minimum 5 years’ experience in a coaching role.
Proven understanding of programming and delivering a squad program in a leadership capacity.
Previous experience developing state level swimmers
ASCTA Bronze licence or higher
Current First Aid and CPR
Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
Eager to work with all levels of swimmers from transition juniors through to senior.
Excellent verbal communication skills and motivation to deliver outstanding customer service.
