Who we're seeking?
Melbourne Gym Sports is seeking a qualified and experienced GFA or WAG coach (qualification must be through Gymnastics Australia) to join our amazing leadership team. Our recreational program is new for 2021, so we're seeking someone who is able to help develop and deliver the program. Some program coordinating experience is desirable but we're willing to build your skills in this area. You'll be well supported on your journey at MGS, and will work with some of the most highly regarded people in the industry. Alice, our Director of Club Operations, is the Gymnastics Victoria AER Technical Director and Bek, our Director of Coaching & Training, is the 2019 Gymnastics Australia Levels Coach of the Year and Victorian NextGen Development Squad Head Coach. Why we're seeking you?
We're a growing club, that wants to expand our operations into the recreational space! Our current team are AER experts, but we need a team member who brings GFA/WAG experience and knowledge to help our program become the best that there is!
What role will you play at MGS?
You'll be responsible for coordinating our new AeroGym program, which is a unique recreational hybrid between AER and GFA/WAG. Given that the program is new, we require someone who is able and willing to coach some of the classes as well. You will be required to work closely with our Director of Coaching & Training to form the perfect mix of fundamental skills for each gym sport.
How about hours and pay?
You'll be required to coach each week (during the school term) on Tuesday & Friday afternoons. We're able to offer both casual and part-time employment and the pay rate will range from $20 to $35 per hour based on your age, qualifications and experience. We pay as per the Fitness Industry Award.
