Macquarie University Sport & Aquatics Centre is a multipurpose facility featuring an extensive Group Fitness timetable, fully equipped Health Club, an indoor and outdoor heated pool and a variety of social sport programs.

We are currently seeking talented Aqua Instructors to join our Group Fitness team and teach Aqua classes across our diverse timetable offering of Zumba, Les Mills, Cycle, Yoga and more. We are a supportive and vibrant team with a social group of members who are passionate about fitness and Aqua.

You will deliver classes with a high level of engagement and professionalism, have exceptional knowledge of choreography, musicality, exercise prescription for water and ensure members are always the primary focus. You will also have opportunities to be involved in member engagement events and up skilling in other programs.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role or equivalent
  • Aqua training course e.g. AUSTSWIM, WETS
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Fitness Australia registration
  • NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience teaching to groups of 20+ pax

Desirable Criteria

  • Certificate III in Fitness
  • Group Exercise Leader (GEL)
