As Head Coach, you must be available on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 3:30pm to 7:30pm as well as all Day on Saturday’s

Role of Head Coach
A Head Coach must be committed to the personal development of each player on the roster. This includes teaching them manoeuvres and plays relating to the position in which the player is assigned.
A Head Coach must also help students develop a competitive nature, teach them about ethical behaviour and good sportsmanship, and assist in the development of leadership skills.
It is up to a Head Coach to decide which player is assigned to a particular position and to create both offensive and defensive plays to be used in game situations. This would involve working with assistant coaches in developing game plans.
A Head Coach also oversees and decides on any changes to these plans during actual games.
A Successful Head Coach should display strong communication, motivational and organizational skills.
Team-building abilities and working in a collaborative environment are essential for a Head Coach. They should also be able to draw assistant coaches together to achieve the same goal and work off of the same plan. Designing game plans and assigning positions

Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing and conditioning athletes
Understanding rules and regulations regarding all aspects of Netball
Coordinate and deliver a high-quality netball coaching program for all players at the club
Demonstrated ability to work with different levels of abilities across various age groups
Discuss along with fellow coaches, a coaching plan for the season (training, recruiting, game plan etc)
Assist in the development of all teams at the club.
Attend coaches’ meetings. This is to ensure that all coaches are aligned in expectations and to address any issues.
Provide on-going assistance and mentoring to all coaches (both senior and junior) as required
Be involved with appropriate pre-season and “in season” training and player skill/fitness testing
Assist with the player trials and team selection
Attend a meeting/training session with all players (juniors and seniors) to outline expectations for the season
Take responsibility for their own continuous professional development and attend relevant training courses to improve their coaching delivery
Continually provide feedback to the Senior Coach regarding coaching plans.
Ensure all equipment associated with the coaching program is correctly set up, maintained, stored and returned on completion of the coaching program
Support all of our junior coaches and players and ensure “visibility” within our junior divisions
Implement a high-quality coaching program, which will provide our players with the best opportunity for individual and team success/development
Ensure that all coaches (both senior and junior) are familiar with and understand the game plan expected at senior level, current training techniques (appropriate to each level)
Possess a Foundation and Development Coaching accreditation
Minimum of 2 years sports coaching experience in a paid or voluntary capacity with two professional references
Hold a valid Working with children check
Possess an Intermediate, Advanced or Elite Coaching accreditation
3 years or more sports coaching experience in a paid or voluntary capacity
To have coached at a higher level/grade or have reps experience
Been involved in “local” sporting club environment
