Cockburn Basketball Association (CBA), located at Wally Hagan Stadium in Hamilton Hill, aspires to be Western Australia’s Leading Family Basketball Association. The Association proudly has more than 2,000 members across 140 competition teams, 20 representative teams, two State Basketball League programs, and booming participation programs.
Reporting directly to the Basketball Development and Administration Manager, the Competitions Coordinator will be the key plank to support the sustainable growth and delivery of the Cockburn Basketball Association’s Domestic Competition. This role has a key focus on communication, stakeholder engagement and policy/procedure implementation.

Be the key point of contact for the Association via phone, email and/or other forms of communication, with response times in line with the Cockburn Basketball Association’s efficiency measures.
Responsible for the delivery and management of all senior and junior domestic competitions game day/nights (and WABL competition days as required) hosted by the Cockburn Basketball Association. This includes all court management responsibilities and the associated communication and relationship building tasks this requires.
Work alongside the BDAM to ensure the implementation of all key policies and procedures relevant to the efficient operation of the Cockburn Basketball Association’s competitions.
Responsible for the set-up of new competition seasons, scheduling of all competition matches and associated training session bookings using the appropriate software (E.g. Sports TG). This includes maintenance of the Cockburn Basketball Association’s website.
Responsible for the 12-month competitions calendar and procedures manual associated with all Cockburn Basketball Association competitions.
Alongside the BDAM, is responsible for the delivery of Cockburn Basketball Association’s community engagement strategy to further the growth of junior and senior competitions.
Coordinate and implement tribunal hearings where required.
Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including (but not limited to) written reports at the conclusion each competition season.
In addition to the responsibilities indicated, the Employer is entitled to request the Employee to perform such other duties as are within the Employee’s training and competence and are reasonably requested in order to meet the strategic requirements of the Association.
