Tennis Victoria (TV) is going through an exciting period of transformation, we have expanded our team to support the delivery of the national tennis strategy and have renewed our ambition to deliver outstanding tennis experiences for players and spectators alike.  To help us achieve this we are looking for a dynamic and proactive Head of Tennis Channels & Innovation.

As part of the TV Leadership Team you will support the Chief Executive to drive participation in tennis across the state of Victoria.  You will ensure tennis is accessible to the whole community, is welcoming, fun, safe and delivered to a professional standard.  Working through your team you will provide expertise and support to Tennis Victoria, with particular emphasis on Facilities, Inclusion, Player Pathway and Player Development.  You will work collaboratively and proactively and will provide strong leadership across the whole organisation.

About the role

  • Support the CEO in the wider leadership of Tennis Victoria as an active member of the TV Leadership Team (TVLT)
  • Support the development of the TV strategy from a player first perspective with a specific focus on tennis delivery channels
  • Oversee the development of channel strategies and work with the Head of Tennis Delivery and Culture to ensure high quality and consistent delivery across the 5 regions in Victoria.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of competitive play for adults and children, increasing and diversifying participation across Victoria and creating a fantastic player and spectator experience
  • With Tennis Australia (TA) colleagues, develop a strategy for player development across Victoria
  • Lead and champion the diversity and inclusion agenda across tennis in Victoria.
  • Working with the Head of Communications and Insight, develop a strategy for engaging with every local council across Victoria, and with State Government, to ensure tennis thrives across the state
  • Develop a culture of innovation across the TV team
  • Develop and lead a high performing Operations team
  • Provide support to the Board and Sub Committees to ensure effective & efficient governance process

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring;

  • Dynamic and proactive leader who can work through others to deliver results
  • Well-developed strategic planning and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing business plans and managing budgets
  • Strong understanding of the multiple tennis pathways that exist for players of all abilities and experience
  • Understanding of and commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • A in depth understanding of the management of sporting facilities
  • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and influence to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to be agile in thinking and adapt to change
  • Agile thinking with the ability to positively adapt to change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with evidence of innovative thinking to develop of new initiatives and income generation
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
