Swimming NSW and Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) are partnering to bring a world-class coaching program to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) Squad program. Swimming NSW will use its significant coaching experience to provide a team of Coaches that will provide athlete and coaching pathways from Learn to Swim through to the National Team at Australia’s premier Aquatic Centre.

The Senior Age Development Coach will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily and seasonal coaching programs for the Age Development Squad 2 in line with the technical direction set by the Head Coach. It is vital that this Coach understands their role within the wider SOPAC Coaching program and develops and prepares swimmers to progress along the SOPAC Squad Pathway.

To be successful in this role, you will have specific age group performance swimming related experience and be demonstrate a track record of developing swimmers’ skills so they can achieve podium success at a State Age level. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about swimming and be committed to encouraging best practice in skill acquisition while creating an environment that is team focused and enjoyable.

Swimming NSW is the peak body for Swimming in NSW and the ACT. It aims to be the premier swimming state in Australia through increased participation and enhanced performance and through the development of partnerships that provide quality life skills for the community.

Swimming NSW currently has approximately 350 clubs and 35,000 registered members.  Its members include swimmers, coaches, officials, administrators, volunteers and parents of swimmers.

Swimming NSW aims to deliver a World Class Athlete Development Pathway to achieve sustained improvement for our swimmers at State, National and International competitions. We endeavour to provide more first choice high performance programs for NSW swimmers within  NSW.
