1.  In consultation with the sports team, implement the Sport in schools program to achieve high level outcomes.  This includes:

  • Working closely with key school sector partners to understand their market needs for sport-based activity and identify, plan and implement responsive school-based projects that would also match the program needs of SOA
  • Assist SSO and other sporting partners to deliver their current product and/or allow them to test innovative new products on offer to positively influence the content and its quality delivery
  • Evaluating delivered projects for educative outcomes and offer constructive feedback to all partners and Sport in schools’ stakeholders and staff for continuous improvement to the program content.

2. Assist in the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and other resources that deliver strategic outcomes for SOA related to the sport in schools program.

3. Within established project parameters, provide overall management responsibility for a small team of community officers, ensuring high level judgment, decision making and advice to deliver effective people management that motivates employees and optimises both individual and team performance.

4. Work collaboratively as part of a high performing team/organisation, establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key internal and/or external stakeholders to deliver high quality business outcomes.

5. Assist in the delivery of quality advice and reporting on relevant issues to senior management.

6.  Foster localised partnerships and pathways and support and facilitate stakeholder engagement.

7. Support local early childhood services, schools and other educational providers to deliver high-quality services and outcomes.

8. Development of effective relationships with external agencies including other Government departments and non-government organisations delivering regional services.

9. Use appropriate project management planning and monitoring tools to track project progress.

10. Support relationships with and between program or project stakeholders

Actively promote and role model the SOA values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect and Teamwork, and contribute to positive organisational change, effective communication, and continuous improvement at SOA
