As Australia’s strategic high-performance sport agency, the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) is responsible for leading and enabling a united high-performance system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success. Our Sport Strategy and Investment team (SS&I) work collaboratively with sports to understand and challenge their high-performance (HP) strategy and enable informed future investment and resource allocation decisions.

This role will lead and manage systems and frameworks to collect and analyse sophisticated sports data to predict performance results and inform national sport strategy and investment decisions.

Data analysis results will be presented in a compelling and informative way, to appeal to a diverse audience, with varying levels of exposure to the relevance and impact of accurate sport data analysis.

The role will also help identify the data required to inform decision making and educate the system partners in how the information is used.

To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in data analysis, predictive modelling and interpretation to help inform the future strategic direction of sport investment. You will be a strong communicator, able to translate data to informative and persuasive presentations, to support and facilitate broad understanding of strategic investment decisions. Experience in high performance sport would be a significant advantage.

Position is based in Canberra and will be available until to 23 December 2022.

Salary range = $131,590 - $160,242 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.
