Description

• Shape the future of Cricket Tasmania

• Inspire and lead a high-performance culture

Cricket Tasmania is the governing body for cricket in Tasmania with a clear vision to be the state’s favourite sport. Our responsibilities span our elite men and women professional state teams – the Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes – to pathway and inclusion programs, to club, community and school cricket. We are focused, motivated and deeply enjoy the work that we do and the positive impact it has on communities throughout Tasmania.

The Chief Executive will provide strategic and operational leadership for Tasmanian cricket and transition the organisation to the next chapter in Cricket Tasmania’s story.   The role is accountable for providing effective management and ensuring achievement of all our strategic objectives. The successful candidate will engage a wide range of stakeholders, foster community support and act as spokesperson to support the mission of cricket being a sport for all Tasmanians, especially through our Tasmania’s Team.

This is a high-profile role for an inspiring executive leader with experience in business transformation, who can execute an established strategy, is commercially astute and enjoys being actively involved in their community.  You will be committed to working effectively with the Board and Executive, empowering staff and promoting a high-performance culture. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to think quickly on your feet.  This is a significant opportunity and as CEO you will have ultimate responsibility for the growth and success of our organisation.

The role is based at Blundstone Arena in Hobart. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Confidential enquiries can be made to Samantha Ravani - General Manager, Corporate Services on 0429 440 479. Further information is also available from www.crickettas.com.au.

Applications close 29 September 2019.
