The Chief Executive Officer is the leader and driver of the operations of ARV. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the organisation in the implementation of ARV’s Strategic Plan.
Key responsibilities lie in the areas of managing a peak industry body with an understanding of marketing and promotion, recreation and aquatic facilities, water safety, strategic planning and evaluation, public relations, human resources, financial and quality management. Liaison with Board members, government and semi-government agencies, media and the broader industry for the purposes of meeting the ARV’s broader commitments is also required.
The Chief Executive Officer will operate under the direction of the ARV Board of Directors and work closely with various Standing Committees. In this role, the investigation of issues that are of importance to the aquatic and recreation industry is required. It is also expected that the CEO will continue the development of the organisation to meet the changing environment of the industry and develop new business and opportunities to sustain its role as a peak body.

Aquatics & Recreation Victoria (ARV) is the peak body for the aquatics and recreation industry in Victoria. ARV represents and supports aquatic and recreation facilities staff and industry personnel to develop vibrant, healthy and connected communities, and drives the development and progress of many facets of the industry.
