To help Tennis Australia deliver on our ambitious plans, we have an exciting opportunity for Coach Development Manager to join our participation team. Reporting to Tennis Australia’s Manager, Coach Development, the key responsibility is to manage, implement and deliver locally, the Tennis Australia Coach Development strategic priorities and objectives.

In this role, you will manage the execution of all aspects of TA Coach Development programs. Specifically, the delivery of professional learning and networking opportunities for coaches, such as the Tennis Australia coaching courses and professional development workshops. You will be responsible for ensuring the level of local education standards are in line with national standards, as well as working closely with the TA team to achieve common objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the key departments within their Member Association, such as the Community Tennis Team, to ensure quality coaches and deliverers who drive participation and performance in tennis.
  • Manage the delivery of TA coaching courses and liaise closely with TA Coach Development team with regards to course operations
  • Promote and assist in the Personal Development of coaches in your area, including workshops and online opportunities
  • Manage the Local Advisory Group (LAG) by communicating regularly with LAG members
  • Liaise closely with the Participation team in the delivery of the Intro to ANZ Tennis Hot Shots and school programs
  • Facilitate the integration of TA Coach Development programs and initiatives into Member Association programs and operations

What you will bring to the role:

  • Ability to build professional relationships with coaches of all levels and backgrounds
  • Extensive experience coaching tennis
  • Well organised with a strong attention to detail
  • TA coach member or willingness to become a TA coach member
  • Tertiary qualification in business management, education, physical education, sport science, human movement
  • Certificate IV in a workplace training and assessment would be desirable
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
