As a Tennis Development Officer (Participation Leader), you will help to grow the sport of Tennis in NSW.  You will play a key role in promoting and increasing the uptake of participation programs and services offered to our key stakeholders, helping drive more people to play the game, and ultimately achieving the national vision of connecting more people to Tennis.
As a Tennis Development Officer (Participation Leader), you will support our team in the following areas:

  • Engage, influence, support, train, educate and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including club volunteers, venue operators, competition deliverers, administrators and councils.
  • Work closely with the Places to Play staff to influence and support clubs and local government with facility development funding applications, including National Court Rebate applications
  • Influence, support and educate clubs to focus on accessibility and community benefits, whilst providing support on governance and sustainability for the club and venue
  • Collaborate with schools staff to facilitate strong and healthy relationships between clubs and local schools as part of the School Partnership Program and School Play Program

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to evoke the cooperation of stakeholders across a wide range of organisations
  • Understanding of club, association and regional development issues and external influences affecting the delivery of sport
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, strong self-awareness to work in a challenging and changing environment
  • High computer literacy with Microsoft suite and database management
  • Demonstrated experience in sports administration, particularly dealing with clubs, associations and volunteer bodies.

  • Working with children check
