Overall Statement

To enhance the long-term development and education of players within the Darebin Falcons community football programs.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all training sessions and matches.

  • Provide mentoring to all players where required

  • Work in conjunction with VFLW, U18 and Division 1 coaches.

  • Keep up to date with coaching development opportunities in relation to elite coaching and mentoring.

  • Any other services reasonably required by the club.

KPIs and Measures

  • Growth/development of players in Division 2.

  • Continued personal development and staying up to date with the latest industry technology and practices.

  • Ensure efficient and timely communication with all players and coaches.

  • Positive stakeholder feedback on relationships developed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Essential:

  • Minimum one to two years practical experience in coaching

  • Level 1 AFL coaching accreditation

  • Demonstrated ability to micro plan a sequential training program based on athlete management and development outcomes for players.

  • Current Working with Children check (or evidence of application.)

Desirable:

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Current first aid certificate and CPR

  • Demonstrated experience in the coaching and mentoring of athletes
