About Us

Netball Victoria is the peak sporting body for netball in Victoria with over 300,000 people participating in its programs across the state.  Netball Victoria also proudly manages the Melbourne Vixens who compete in arguably the best domestic netball competition in the world, Suncorp Super Netball.

With the evolving landscape of women’s sport, netball continues to lead the charge as the highest participation team sport for women in Australia and now, more than ever, is an exciting time to join our team.

In 2018, the Melbourne Vixens recorded over 1.5million viewers across the Suncorp Super Netball season, one of the highest viewed female teams in Australia. With this, Netball Victoria has been able secure even more corporate support year on year, now attracting multinational companies.

From a grassroots perspective, Netball Victoria’s focus is on developing innovative products and programs to appeal to the changing market needs and varied demographics, including our ‘social way to play’, Rock Up Netball.

Backing from the state government saw a recent funding injection of $64.6million - the nation’s largest ever investment in women’s sport – which will see the State Netball & Hockey Centre redeveloped and Netball Victoria’s offices move into the state-of-the-art facility by the end of 2020.

About the role

Based in Ballarat and reporting directly to the General Manager Netball Participation, the Western Region Manager will play an integral role in leading the Netball Victoria state-wide strategy to grow netball participation across Victoria.  Specifically, you will lead a regional team, based in the West, who are dedicated to enabling and facilitating the development of Associations, Leagues and Clubs, to grow all forms of netball participation via approved Netball Victoria programs, products, competitions and capability development solutions. Working closely with the Affiliate Support team, you will ensure team members are trained in governance, rules and regulation processes and understand the expectations of their role, including when to consult with Affiliate Services for advice and guidance. You will also support strategic planning and volunteer development initiatives, using Netball Victoria’s resources to build both the capacity and capability of affiliates and their volunteer workforce.

You will be key in providing the local connection for Netball Victoria’s strategies and initiatives, through your robust relationships with local sports, communities and local government authorities.
