We are seeking a full-time Strength & Conditioning Specialist to be part of our Auckland Strength & Conditioning team. This role is based at our National Training Centre in Mairangi Bay.
The successful candidate will be leading strength and conditioning initiatives for a range of athletes with a strong focus on women's Sprint Kayak carded athletes. Domestic and international travel may occasionally be required in this role.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A passion for strength and conditioning
At least 3 years of experience working in high performance sport (ideally on Olympic or World Championship campaigns)
Excellent communication skills
The following would be desirable:
Specific expertise and experience in strength and conditioning with kayak athletes
Proven experience in making a positive contribution to strength and conditioning performance measures
Post Graduate qualifications
In addition to the above role, we are also seeking a second Strength & Conditioning Specialist. This will be a fixed-term contract until December 2020 with a potential to extend. This role will also be based at our National Training Centre in Mairangi Bay and will be leading a variety of strength and conditioning initiatives for a broad range of athletes. For this role, we will consider candidates interested in part-time as well as full time. As part of the recruitment process, we will assess your suitability for each of the roles.
