Event Manager

The Sydney Cricket & Sports Ground Trust has the responsibility and privilege of managing our city’s original home of sport, the Sydney Cricket Ground. The SCG is an integral part of Sydney’s rich sporting and cultural life, attracting people from all over the world since the 1850s.

Working in events is a demanding profession, yet highly rewarding for those that excel. We are seeking applicants who are ambitious and passionate about the successful management of events at the SCG and at the new Allianz Stadium, which will be built by the NSW Government.

To be successful in this role you will have strong interpersonal and networking skills, remain calm under pressure and the ability to motivate others in a fast-paced environment. Events run Monday to Sunday, day, evening, weekends and public holidays so don’t expect to fall into the mainstream Monday to Friday; nine to five in this role.

We are looking for candidates who have a desire to constantly strive for improvements on the customer experience coupled with previous experience as an event manager in a fast-paced venue; along with formal qualifications in sports management and/or administration and previous exposure to event management software and ticketing systems.
