About The Role
Destination NSW is currently seeking Ministerial and Corporate Communications Officers (x3). The positions will work across a variety of tourism and major events portfolios including sport, lifestyle, arts and entertainment as well as promoting the many reasons to visit Australia’s Harbour City and travel beyond into regional NSW.
Destination NSW’s Ministerial and Corporate Communications Officers are responsible for managing media and stakeholder opportunities and events for the NSW Government. Officers are responsible for leveraging the investment made by the NSW Government through Destination NSW in major events as well as the programs and initiatives undertaken across NSW to grow tourism and position NSW as a leading visitor destination.
These roles are responsible for end to end management, planning and preparation of materials to support ministerial and corporate opportunities including media releases, briefing notes and speeches as well as managing media enquiries and announcement events.

- Provide an example of where you have identified and executed a media opportunity. You should outline the media opportunity, the strategy/approach and result. Please detail what materials/events/communication you were responsible for delivering and the outcome.
