About the Boroondara Sports Complex

The Boroondara Sports Complex (BSC) is an important community facility (recently redeveloped in 2016) and is just one of the leisure and aquatic facilities that make up the Boroondara Leisure and Aquatic Facilities (BLAF). The Boroondara Sports Complex YMCA is committed to providing the highest level of service to our visitors and career development for our staff teams. Key Elements of the Role

A netball umpire is required to enforce the rules and regulations of the game to the best of their ability whilst also ensuring high levels of player satisfaction and fun. In the occurrence of an injury or accident, the netball umpire has a duty as a first aider to provide the initial support to the individual.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of the netball game and rules. It is beneficial to have experience umpiring netball and with teenagers and adults in a sporting environment.

Qualifications

  • Working With Children Check
  • Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate (completion online prior to commencement)
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Netball Umpire C Badge
