It’s an exciting time to join Swimming Australia as our Program Operations Manager as we progress towards our Tokyo 2020 goals!
This role will suit an established, values-driven leader, capable of building great relationships through exceptional written and verbal communication and agile thinking. You’ll have demonstrated ability to turn strategy into execution and a strong respect for reporting and governance. An understanding of the high performance environment in the sports industry is key.
Working closely with Swimming Australia’s General Manager Performance & the Swimming Australia High Performance Senior Management Group, the Program Operations Manager is responsible for creating and executing highly evolved practices, reporting and communications across Swimming Australia’s High Performance Strategic Plan. This position provides operational management support to each of the Program Leads across the performance steams of Olympic Pool, Para’, Open Water and Pathways.
Working closely with our Olympic, Paralympic, Open Water Program and Pathways team members, the Program Operations Manager will drive innovation and support for the following areas:
- High Performance Unit (HPU) operations, communication and governance;
- High Performance Centre management across the country;
- Athlete communication and compliance with contractual obligations and mandatory education/other requirements; and
- Athlete Funding Programs.
To be considered for this role, you will be an outstanding communicator, natural analytical thinker with strong capability to analyse, interpret and accurately report on data from a number of sources to develop timely, compelling and concise advice and reports to support the HPU decision-making and communications. This experience will ideally be from within a high performance sport environment utilising modern performance sport survey, planning and reporting tools.
