Specific Duties

To achieve Gymnastics NSW annual outcomes and contribute to the achievement of Gymnastics New South Wales Strategic goals the following key duties will be required:

Quality controls

  • Develop a quality assured manual management system of operation within the compliance officers portfolio.
  • Implement strategies to help raise member awareness and understanding of Gymnastics NSW strategies and policy to support continuous improvement. 

Child safe and child friendly practices

  • Undertake regulatory activities in accordance with Gymnastics NSW strategies and policy to improve outcomes for children attending services, to ensure children’s health and safety needs are met, and to promote continuous improvement in the quality of services.
  • Monitor compliance and investigate non-compliance with Child Protection, WHS, risk management, coach accreditation, membership and club affiliation regulatory requirements and recommend appropriate compliance action to ensure a high-quality service is being provided. 
  • Contribute to Gymnastics NSW outcomes in accordance with set timeframes and standards, including working collaboratively with colleagues in the same team or in different departments to support Gymnastics NSW operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, readily understandable and timely records to ensure the quality and utility of the records for reporting and other purposes. 
  • Prepare documentation, including reports, briefings and correspondence, in accordance with set timeframes and standards to support the effective operations of Gymnastics NSW. 


  • Manage grievances within clubs, between clubs and with Gymnastics NSW and any of its committees.
  • Manage club affiliation processes to ensure timely renewal of current clubs and onboarding of new clubs.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and activities as requested by the Development Manager.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Development Manager from time to time.


The successful candidate will have:

  • the ability to monitor and undertake regulatory requirements
  • experience in undertaking reviews to assess quality
  • demonstrated experience in implementing change management strategies
  • highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • highly developed organisational skills and evidence-based submission and report writing skills
  • the ability to act independently, solve problems and manage a number of different portfolio’s simultaneously
