Netball WA is the governing body for the sport in Western Australia, incorporating the subsidiary entities of West Coast Fever Netball Club and Glass Jar Australia. Netball WA has a clear vision to be ‘The sport of choice in Western Australia’. Underpinning this vision and our purpose of ‘advancing netball, advancing communities’, is a new 2018-2022 Strategic Plan which outlines key outcomes, goals and strategies across four pillars within Netball WA; People & Culture, Participation, Pathway & Business Performance.

Based at the State Netball Centre (SNC) in Jolimont, this role will report to the Participation Manager. The position will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of all Netball WA schools programs with the primary aim of increasing overall participation in the sport.  whilst maximising member recruitment in both new and existing markets. The successful incumbent will be required to facilitate and develop new partnerships and work collaboratively with Member Associations and Clubs, community organisations and other commercial partners/stakeholders to support the continued growth and development of the Schools programs and products in Western Australia.

Core responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Strengthen the pathways of engagement and increase participation within the sport through the development, delivery, monitoring and review of the Netball WA School programs and products;
  • Build capacity and sustainability of the sport through the identification of new community engagement initiatives with schools, community stakeholders and commercial partners;
  • Work collaboratively with other Netball WA Participation Coordinators to introduce other participation programs and products (i.e.  NetSetGO, Inclusion, Fast5) into schools throughout the State;
  • Recruit, educate and manage a workforce of Community Coaches to deliver the range of School programs and products.

The role is a full-time, maximum term for (3 years with possible extension) working 37½ hours per week. A salary of up to $50,000 per annum plus super will be offered to the successful candidate together with a range of benefits that include: access to free parking, tickets to West Coast Fever and other events, mobile phone plan cost reimbursement, access to Professional Development opportunities, Employee Assistance & Wellbeing Programs.
