Position Overview

Working closely with the Victorian State Manager, the Community Football League Coordinator will be responsible for managing and supporting the Reclink Victorian Football League in the Central Victoria (Bendigo, Ballarat, Sunbury, Melton & Maryborough) through the development of partnerships with member agencies, local mental health and welfare organisations, police, regional sports assemblies, sport providers, local councils, employment and training organisations, church groups and community support groups.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support and coordinate the Reclink Football League in Central Victoria;
  • Support and coordinate a formal Reclink network of member agencies in each location to assist in the recruitment and support of participants in the league;
  • Work closely with identified key stakeholders in the further development of the league;
  • Identify and recruit prospective agencies and volunteers to support the Reclink Football League teams;

Key Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications from a recognised TAFE, College or University in Community Services, Sport and Recreation, or similar and/or a minimum of two year's experience in the provision of direct support services to diverse clients;
  • Have a sound interest and knowledge of Australian Rule's Football;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by marginalised target groups;
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of administrative support systems, innovative practice and high level of verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds;
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships within community networks;
  • Work in consultation and in co-ordination with key community stakeholders and service providers in government and community sectors;
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and constructively in a team setting with minimal supervision;
  • Be a self-starter, reliable and able to work independently, innovatively and respectfully with diverse individuals and groups;
  • High level of time management and organisational skills and capacity to work effectively within tight time constraints;

  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Federal Criminal Police Check.
