2013 Sportspeople Workplace Survey - closed with record participation numbers!
Thank you to all who participated in the 2013 Sportspeople Workplace Survey. This year we received over 2,000 responses, well above the 1,129 received in 2009. We are currently compiling the data and will be publishing the findings by the end of the year.
Sportspeople has been conducting research into the sport, fitness and aquatic sector since 1996 and over this time has published a number of hallmark industry reports on issues such as workplace trends and remuneration. The data Sportspeople collects is freely available at the Career section at our website, including "What do I need? What should I be earning?" and Sportspeople Library.
Sportspeople are on the move!
The Sportspeople International Recruitment Centre will be relocating 19 October to Suite 4, 340 Darling Street Balmain NSW. Our new custom fitted office was once the Shipshape Squash & Fitness Centre and still has the original and rather beautiful squash court floorboards. We will also enjoy the use of a mini golf putting green right outside our door!
Our telephone and fax contact numbers will remain the same and we expect no disruptions to our services during the move. We look forward to continuing the business of putting the best people in the best jobs from our new home.

FREE Job Board service for State and National Sporting Organisations
In July 2009, Sportspeople developed new categories of Community Sport Club, Volunteer and Intern/Traineeships to sit alongside the salaried, professional career opportunities at the Sportspeople Jobs Market. Following the success of these FREE listings, Sportspeople created a Job Board service for State and National Sporting Organisations in 2010, essentially replacing the “employment opportunities” or "jobs" link at an organisation’s website.
Sportspeople can provide a sport specific Job Board to any State and National Sporting Organisation, “powered by” Sportspeople, showing all positions available in the relevant sport. And, best of all, jobs can then be listed by each member club/association directly, meaning your staff no longer have to manage email listings and purge expired jobs. Importantly, Community Sport Clubs can list positions on these job boards FREE of charge. Please note, charges will still apply for State and National Sporting Organisations or jobs that do not fit the Community Sport Club, Volunteer and Intern/Traineeships categories.
As jobs are posted using the Sportspeople Jobs Market fields, each includes comprehensive information about the job, logo(s), How to Apply, close date, contact details and consistent, professional formatting. Jobs automatically purge upon the close date.
The end result is that State or the National Sporting Organisation and their members have an up to date and comprehensive listing of relevant jobs available online, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And, as an added bonus, each job also appears at the Sportspeople Jobs Market reaching an audience of over 7,000 visitors a day.
Sportspeople presently “powers” over 40 Job Boards throughout Australia and New Zealand including Fitness Australia, AUSTSWIM and a number of organisations including:
- Gymnastics Australia, NSW, Queensland & Victoria
- Swimming NSW, WA & Queensland
- ACT Sport, vicsport, Western Australian Sports Federation
It is easy to commission Sportspeople to host a Job Board. If you are an existing advertiser we can set up an active Job Board within 24 hours of receiving authority. The set up and ongoing maintenance of the Job Board is FREE.
