What is Western Leisure Services?
Western Leisure Services Pty Ltd (WLS) has been established to manage three leisure facilities in Wyndham City - the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre (WLEC), the Werribee Sports and Fitness Centre (WSFC) and the Werribee Olympic Outdoor Pool (WOOP). Western Leisure Services Pty Ltd is a Local Government Business Enterprise (LGBE) with Wyndham Council as the sole shareholder and will operate independently of Council through a Board of Directors. WLS staff are employed directly by WLS and are not Council employees. Wyndham has experienced the largest and fastest growth in all Victorian local government areas and is the fourth fastest growing in Australia.
When will the positions be open for applications?
There will be a staggered recruitment process with different roles opening for applications as early as October and others as late as December/January. Keep an eye on the Sportspeople Jobs Market for opportunities as they become available.
Where are the roles located?

When do the Centres open?
Re-development works on the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre will continue to mid 2015. Re-development works on the Werribee Sports and Fitness Centre will be coordinated over two phases, with the Stage 1 works continuing until mid 2015 and the Stage 2 works continuing until mid 2016. The Werribee Outdoor Olympic Pool will be managed by WLS commencing late 2015.
When do the positions currently advertised commence duties?
The roles currently being advertised have staggered commencement dates. Training and inductions are due to take place from November to April at varying times dependant on the position commencement date.
Casual roles are anticipated to commence duties in May, 2015.
What are the anticipated opening hours?
WLEC - 5:30am to 9pm Monday to Friday; and 7am to 7pm weekends and public holidays.
WSFC - 6am to 11pm Monday to Friday; and 8am to 10pm weekends and public holidays.
WOOP - over the Summer months - 6am to 7pm Monday to Friday; and 8am to 6pm weekends and public holidays.
Staff are expected to work on a shift basis involving weekend, early morning, evening and public holidays.

I'm not qualified for some of the positions such as Swim Teacher or Lifeguard - can I still apply?
WLS will provide training for a limited number of successful candidates for some positions. Ultimately, we are looking for people with the right attitude to provide the level of customer service.
