Description
The Advanced Certificate - Designing young AFL Development programs is a half day course that will help coaches, club officials, teachers and parents from all sports that work with athletes at the age of 10 - 22 year old male or female footballers to understand how to set players up for success within a future AFL Program. The course will also provide a road map to help staff design, recruit, coach, support and manage development programs for their U18 Talent League, 1st-4th Year Draftee’s, Stat league and school & community football programs.

Presenter - Austin O’Connor
Austin Stubbs, is a coaching educator who has an extensive amount of education and experiences across the AFL industry along with a Level 3 Accreditation, he has previously held roles within both AFL/VFL competitions within analytics and coaching. Austin’s expertise is in the area of skill acquisition, strategy and development coaching.
Austin has worked with five current and former senior AFL coaches at a range of different levels from community football to the AFL. On behalf of his business AFHP Coaching, he consults and designs resources to professionally develop and educate AFL coaches across all levels of the industry.
Format
The Centre for Athlete and Sports Education courses are delivered via Live Zoom Workshops plus Pre and Post Course Online Activities in our Learning Management System to provide a rich educational experience that can be accessed from any location at any time. If you are unable to attend the Zoom workshop/s they recorded and available in the online portal to watch for 7 days post workshop.
