About Us

Established in 2010, the Canberra Cavalry (nicknamed Cavs) is a professional baseball team competing in the Australian Baseball League (‘ABL’) (founding member). The club’s headquarters and training facility are located at our home ground at MIT Ballpark, Narrabundah ACT.  Our season runs from November to February, consisting of 40 home and away games, with just 5 home series in which to engage members and generate the team’s income.

About the Role

You will be using your vast network of business and sporting contacts to identify and secure new commercial partners for the Canberra Cavalry. 

Baseball is the best summer sport in Canberra and a fantastic family night out, however the National and International exposure of the ABL and its sponsorship potential is not known to the wider Canberra Business community.  The right person would be able to market our vast suite of offerings to businesses which includes; brand placement, hosting events, on field activations, digital and social media campaigns, International broadcast partnerships, theme nights or simply sitting back in a corporate box having a few drinks and watching some world class baseball.

The person we need

We need someone who’s outgoing and can leave a positive impression on people.  It is envisioned that this is not a full time position and as such you may be semi-retired, looking for part time, want to volunteer, looking for an exciting opportunity or just enjoy meeting people. You should be available to attend the majority of home games to ensure sponsor’s needs are well serviced and they have a memorable experience.
