The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for developing digital content and communications across Sea Eagles platforms, website, social media channels, with the aim to deliver strong editorial and promotional support for the Club. This role will primarily focus on digital content (video and photography) generation but will also provide assistance to the traditional media and PR function by supporting our general media activities such as filming press conferences and associated events.
Key Responsibilities
Video and Photography
Work with Management and the digital content team to develop and generate well-crafted video and photography content for website and other social media platforms
Assist with game day media
Assist with copywriting requirements
Digital Content
Assist with production and uploading of content onto club website and other platforms as required
Engage with the Club’s digital community to grow, nurture and commercialise relationships through engaging content and enriching experiences
Social Media
Work to support the execution of the digital and content plan, including publishing on the Club’s social media accounts, promoting website content and pushing out important messages via relevant channels
Daily administration support of social media platforms including posting
Create content, story concepts and images for social media channels
Capture training and game day content
Tell the story of game day on the club’s social media channels during away trips and Pathway teams
Maintain an ongoing awareness of developments in digital marketing including trends, technology and emerging platforms.
Administration
Work with key internal stakeholders to plan and provide content for all areas of the business
Provide creative design support as necessary
Key Skills & Attributes
Film and/or photography educational background highly desirable
Minimum 2 years’ experience filming and editing digital content
Minimum 2 years’ experience with adobe suite
Ability to identify and document content on the fly
Ability to work with a producer, but also able to work unsupervised on film shoots
Rugby league knowledge
Flexible working hours and willingness to travel to both home and away games when required
A passion for creating content and staying across the latest digital trends
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities
Strong problem solving and issues resolution skills
