2017 Sportspeople Workplace Survey open - PARTICIPATE NOW!
People working and volunteering in sport, fitness and aquatics jobs in Australia and New Zealand are being called upon to participate in a national survey mapping employment and salary trends for the sector.
The 2017 Sportspeople Workplace Survey is managed by recruitment agency and job board operator Sportspeople, in conjunction with La Trobe University's Centre for Sport and Social Impact. The 2017 Sportspeople Workplace Survey is supported by a number of key industry partners including:
- Australian Leisure Facilities Association
- Australasian Leisure Management
|- Sport NSW
- WA Sports Federation
The support of our Survey Partners is acknowledged and greatly appreciated. Each of these organisations has made a commitment to promote the 2017 Sportspeople Workplace Survey to their constituents and membership, an integral part of the success of the data collection process. The Survey aims to provide a snap shot of remuneration levels, workplace trends and practices within the sport, fitness and aquatic sector in Australia and New Zealand. The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes for you to complete. Data gained from the survey is confidential and will only be used in a pooled form. Results will be published by Sportspeople and La Trobe University in late 2017. To participate click here.
One of the most important measures of the Sportspeople Recruitment business is the success of the candidates we place in jobs. It’s not just about filling the job of course; it’s really measured by the achievement of the key performance indicators set by the employer and of course, personal fulfilment of the employee. So it’s always pleasing to see Sportspeople Recruitment Alumni not only achieving great things for their employer but also see them acknowledged as industry leaders.
Recently Sportspeople Recruitment was exclusively retained to assist the Bulldogs NRL in their search for a new CEO following Raelene Castle’s announcement she is departing end of September. Andrew Hill has been announced as the incoming CEO and will commence duties upon completion of his role as CEO, Rugby League World Cup 2017. Sportspeople Recruitment not only managed Raelene’s appointment as Bulldogs CEO in 2013, we also assisted the Bulldogs Board leading to Todd Greenberg’s appointed in 2007. Over the 4 years with the Bulldogs Raelene has made a significant impact not only at the Bulldogs, but also within the broader NRL and more generally as an inspirational leader in sport.
Alex Baumann departs as Chief Executive, High Performance Sport New Zealand (HPSNZ) this week, following six years during which he not only led the establishment of HPSNZ, but also its reputation as a world leading, best practice HP organisation. Sportspeople Recruitment was exclusively retained by HPSNZ to assist the global search for the new CEO, with the appointment last week and the announcement to be made early September.
Mark Rendell announced his resignation last week as CEO, Gymnastics Australia. Sportspeople Recruitment was retained by the Gymnastics Australia Board in 2012 to assist with the search for their CEO, with Mark the successful candidate. In the press release announcing Mark’s departure Gymnastics Australia noted the significant improvements and advances made over the past 5 years of his tenure.
Last month we extended congratulations to Kate Palmer’s appointed Chief Executive Officer, Australian Sports Commission (Sportspeople Recruitment managed the recruitment process for Kate’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Netball Australia in 2006) and Matt Carroll’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Australian Olympic Committee (Sportspeople Recruitment managed the recruitment process for Matt’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer, Yachting Australia in 2014 and in 2017 managed the appointment of John Lee as the new CEO, Australian Sailing).
Over the past 4 years alone our combined Sportspeople Jobs Market and Sportspeople Recruitment divisions have assisted in filling over 7,000 jobs in the sport sector.
We never lose sight that every organisation is only as extraordinary as the people that work within it.
